Bathing in hypocrisy

February 7, 2011
The hypocrisy. That’s what bothers me.

Some of the most virulent, anti-gay crusaders
are secretly gay, themselves.

I suppose I ought to feel compassion for them.
And I do try.

But they hurt so many others
and contribute to a national tone that is so hateful.

It would be nice to live in a world where this wasn’t an issue.
That the word “tolerant” wasn’t used to describe
acceptance of minority (but normal) behavior.
(Why IS that?)

In a world that truly understood that we are all God’s creatures.

And behaved accordingly.
