Have you ever seen an object in the sky that wasn’t a plane or a bird? Did you know many indigenous people have passed down through the generations stories of visitors from the sky?

In Egypt I saw a number of intriguing petroglyphs hinting that extra-terrestrials had appeared in that culture all those centuries ago. Quite a bit of evidence, actually.

The idea of extraterrestrial life has finally moved from the fringes of popular culture (where I kept it company for 30 years)  into mainstream conversation. I’ve followed this topic and its whistleblowers for all those decades and I’m glad to see some of the truth is starting to come out.

Most people are waiting for definitive public proof to explain why extraterrestrials might be visiting Earth. Well, don’t expect the government’s disclosure to be real or accurate. I expect it to be manipulative.

So what I do believe? Much of the whistleblower testimony that’s been collected while most people were in either blissful ignorance or willful denial. Keeping in mind our government has had a real disinformation program going for decades.

So why would ETs come here?  A few possible reasons are being discussed in public forums.

Observers

A pretty benign assessment is that extraterrestrials are simply studying humanity: it’s called the “cosmic zoo” theory.

Think of it in the same way as scientists observing wildlife without interfering. Perhaps advanced civilizations are monitoring Earth’s development, culture, technology, and evolution. They’re interested in us in a hands-off way,  with no desire to alter our natural progression.

While I’m sure they’re observing, I don’t think that’s the only reason they’re here.

Guiding Human Evolution

Some believe extraterrestrials have played a role in human development for thousands of years. Judging from what I saw in Egypt and reports from indigenous cultures, this seems believable.

You’ve seen popular coverage of ancient myths, archaeological mysteries, and stories and cave drawings of divine beings descending from the heavens. So I think it’s entirely possible that extraterrestrials have influenced our spiritual, intellectual, or even biological evolution.

Teachers, mentors, or guardians, they could be seen as helping humanity move toward a higher level of consciousness. I can only hope this is true.

Concerned About Our Future

The idea that extraterrestrials are here because humanity has reached a critical crossroads makes sense to anyone who sees what’s going on in our world now.

Since the development of nuclear weapons, UFO sightings have been associated with military facilities and nuclear sites. There’s credible testimony that they have stopped nuclear capabilities from deploying—more than once. Some believe (and I am among them) these advanced civilizations are concerned about our capacity for self-destruction and monitoring our progress closely.

Someone needs to; our leaders aren’t doing a very good job of it.

This is the watch and wait theory: they’re waiting to see whether we mature as a species before making broader contact. (It may be a long wait.)

Interdimensional Rather Than Extraterrestrial?

Not everyone believes these visitors come from distant planets.

Some researchers and spiritual teachers propose that the beings people encounter come from other dimensions or levels of reality rather than from another solar system. Some whistleblowers say ETs are here to study our souls and what happens to them after death.

Well, think about it. Earth may coexist with realities we cannot normally perceive, and “extraterrestrials” could be visitors crossing between dimensions rather than traversing vast distances through space. It’s a pretty complex concept, but one that has gained momentum this year and I find it most intriguing.

Officials fear that this specific kind of disclosure would wreak havoc with major religious beliefs. Some believe that the government plans to position ETs as demons here to destroy the earth so that religious beliefs can remain intact. (My opinion: No one credible believes they are demons, but I do believe we’ll see the religious right implement this tactic.)

Here to Assist Human Awakening

Many spiritual communities believe contact experiences are connected to a broader shift in human consciousness.

They say that humanity is undergoing a period of awakening—a movement away from fear, separation, and conflict toward greater awareness, compassion, and unity. Extraterrestrial beings are viewed as allies encouraging that transformation.

The focus is less on technology and spacecraft and more on consciousness itself. I can only hope this is true.

Interested in Earth’s Resources

A more practical explanation is that Earth possesses resources of value.

You see this a lot in science fiction: Water, biological diversity, rare minerals, or unique environmental conditions attracts interest from advanced civilizations. But I just don’t believe resource acquisition is the motive..

Seems to me that if a civilization were advanced enough to reach Earth, they would likely have access to resources elsewhere in the universe. Why would they need ours? But it’s possible.

They Are Us

Another fascinating suggestion is that ETs may actually be future humans.

If time travel is possible, these visitors could be descendants of humanity returning to observe or influence key moments in history. Take that in for a moment.

Maybe that’s why many ETs are reported to have a generally human appearance.

Who really knows about extra-terrestrial life?

Well, here’s who I think knows. The people who are really running our government in secret. Some of the whistleblowers who have worked on these secret projects. Dr. Steven Greer, the world’s leading expert in so-called UFO-logy.

Those people know.

Will we ever have definitive answers? I’m not sure we will, not under the current administration. There’s a vested interest in making sure religious grift (I mean institutions) remain intact.

So it’ll be up to us to seek out answers from those people who do not have a reason to be on one side or the other.

And of course, we may never know the truth. Not for a long time.
