Foreboding Sky

April 14, 2009

In our third year of drought and newly-imposed water restrictions, we were glad to see rain this morning… major thunderstorms with black sky and even hail.

Not so happy to have tornadoes in the northern Tampa Bay area. My business partner’s son called her from his high school gymnasium: they did tornado drills at school this morning, then took all the kids to the gym. Power went out: no electricity, no A/C.

We need the rain, but I’m sure travelers aren’t enjoying the wind shear and currently unstable conditions.

Cold front coming in, but in Florida, that’s relative. It’s a chilly 66 right now. 😉
