How to come from the heart in these dark times

These are difficult days for many of us.

Don’t know about you, but my soul needs some calming.

I was thinking that a heart-centered meditation might be just what’s needed on this Valentine’s Day.

Here it is:

Close your eyes.

Take a slow, deep breath….count to 3…exhale fully on the count of 5.

Do this three times.

Reach out your arms.

Cup your hands together and imagine you are holding the heart of the world in them.

Focus on your breath and imagine you are breathing your own love into the heart of the world.

Do this for 10 breaths, then bring your cupped hands that hold the heart of the world into your own chest and hold them close to your heart. 

Imagine you can feel your hearts exchanging love as you take three more slow, deep breaths.

When you are ready, open your eyes and go about your heart-centered day.

Sending my own love out to each one of you today and every day.
