Knock-knock

September 26, 2009

I have always lived by the Sicilian proverb,

Quannu amuri tuppulìa, ‘un lu lassari ‘nmenzu la via.

English translation: When love knocks, be sure to answer.

Sometimes, though, I wonder.

Me to M: “Conde Nast-listed top travel agent I know suggests we have dinner at a wonderful restaurant up the mountain road. Diana says it’ll take about 30-45 minutes to drive up the mountain. What do you think?

M: “Why would I want to do that?”

(Our reservations are for 1pm.)
