Off to find Finian’s rainbow

June 4, 2010

That’s County Cork in Ireland with the rainbow up top, and tomorrow we’re off at the crack of dawn. Who knows, we might find the pot of gold at the end of Finian’s rainbow. Or see a leprechaun or two. You never know.

The bottom photo is of moody, windswept Scotland, our second week’s destination. I’m looking forward to experiencing the romanticism of the heather-covered cliffs for the first time.

I’ll take notes and we’ll take photographs; I’ll blog as often as I can.

So:
slán go fóill
(goodbye for now in Gaelic) and
See ye efter! (see you later in Scottish).

(or so the Internet tells me. They may mean something entirely different and if so, oops!)
