Parental fear of being blamed kills

I saw this PostSecret the other day and remembered being a teenager who badly wanted to talk to a therapist. Just as badly as my parents didn’t want me to.

For this very reason.

I’d hoped this didn’t happen any more. But then I spoke with a teenager I know whose father would not want him to get the help he needs.

For this very reason.

Fear of being blamed kills.
