Remind me: what was I looking for?

June 15, 2012
Ever forget what you were doing?
I do this almost once a day now.
There was a time when I never did it,
but I can hardly remember that now.

Sometimes, forgetting serves a purpose,
but by this time, well, it doesn’t.
It’s an occupational hazard.

I like to think it’s because my brain’s
so full of important things there’s no room
for trivialities.
But really, it’s because I’m aging.
Damn!
Do I need more reminders?
