School is in session!

School started yesterday — my first class is this afternoon. 
Have I mentioned how much I love teaching college students 
and how glad I am to be back at it?

I felt that little frisson of excitement Saturday morning when I saw an email to faculty from my dean with
info for start of classes.
It’s here! I thought. Fall semester is here!

This semester, I seek to begin each day 
with  Gibran’s astute observation in mind
and aim to work hard to bring out the best in all my students. 

I am really, really excited.
