Sound of the season: Christmas Canon in D

December 25, 2011

Pachelbel’s beautiful, baroque Canon in D reminds me of weddings, funerals and my ex, B. But Transiberian Orchestra’s Christmas version reminds me of just that: Christmas. Especially Christmas Eve. Enjoy!

Transiberian Orchestra/Christmas Canon

composed in the late 1600s but only discovered in the 20th century. It was first published in 1919. Incredible.
