The cycle of life

Rose Garden, San Jose, 2011
Expect your prayers to be answered in wondrous ways.
The dry seasons in life do not last.
The spring rains will come again.
~Sarah Ban Breathnach
The morning air is chilly now when I let the dogs out,
reminding me that autumn is just a few weeks away.
When it feels like we can’t count on much,
we can always count on the seasons to change,
whether we’re ready or not.
It’s the same with life.
Challenges ebb and flow,
change like the seasons.

Fall is a shoulder season, its beauty belies
the grey days to come.

In the deep darkness of winter
it’s hard to remember the splendor of a rose
wearing morning dew.
And yet, spring will come again.

  1. Beautiful thoughts on the ebbs and flows one finds in life.
“I know nothing stays the same
But if you’re willing to play the game
    It’s coming around again”.
