The refreshing Aperol Spritz

Before dinner last night, I simply couldn’t resist ordering a Spritz.

It’s a delightful aperitif with the liqueur Aperol, plus prosecco and some soda.

And a twist of orange rind.

I’m not much of a drinker. Oh, a glass of white wine every now and again. Or an ice cold beer, especially with sushi.

But I’m glad to find the Spritz, a light and fresh summer cocktail.

I couldn’t help but picture myself drinking one on the terrace of Baur B&B, where we are headed in just two short months.
