Things I wore

July 15, 2009

Something old: The charm bracelet M. gave me for Valentine’s Day in 1972. Pearl and gold earrings that belonged to my mother.

Something new: lingerie, my hairdo and actually the dress I’d only worn once: a floaty navy blue two-piece with tiny white dots

Something borrowed: A gold and sapphire necklace from my dear Joanne, a gift from her father to her mother. Tucked in my purse, cameo of the Blessed Mother that had belonged to Joanne’s grandmother.

Something blue
: my dress, the sapphires in the necklace.

Flowers today:
beautiful pale pink roses and hot pink carnations, two bouquets on the bench, from Judge Claudia and Woody. Now in our Tampa home.

Dinner centerpiece
: gorgeous white hydrangea arrangement from my brother, sister, sister-in-law, brother-in-law and nephew.

Treats:
A wonderful gift basket filled with champagne, caviar and all sorts of appetizing goodies from dear Marilyn. Which we enjoyed before our wedding dinner.

And so many best wishes from friends all over the country and world through email and Facebook I can’t count!
