A writer-friend often says that
the best writing is “truer than true”
and I agree.

Truth is much deeper than the facts,
and mining those depths makes for great writing.

  1. Just what I needed to read today! I’m on the last chapter of a young middle grade novel. I hope my ten-year-old character is truer than true!
