How you can help victims of the southern California fires

The devastation wrought by this winter’s California fires is horrific. The community and organizations across the globe immediately reached out to help, but they need your help, too. Fund are needed to feed workers on the ground, to feed, clothe and house displaced residents and for aid to displaced and injured wildlife and pets, who are totally dependent on us. Completely.

Here’s how you can help victims of the California fires: The easiest way to help is to share this post on your socials. And if you can spare even a few bucks:

     HELPING WILDLIFE & PETS

The Pasadena Humane Society swiftly moved into action and has been doing incredible work with confused and injured wildlife in pets. Fund are needed. Help HERE.

Best Friends Animal Society has also stepped up in a big way. Help them HERE.

     FEEDING CREWS AND RESIDENTS

These organizations are working hard to keep fire and rescue crews and displaced residents feed. They need your help:

World Central Kitchen can be found HERE.  Their work is known all over the world.

LA Regional Food Bank is in the thick of it. Help them HERE.  

     EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE

The aid group Direct Relief has brought emergency health care supplies for community clinics, evacuation centers and local residents impacted by the fires. It’s also been providing N95 masks, hygiene kits, emergency medical packs and other essentials to partner organizations on the ground in L.A. Help them HERE. 

LA-based International Medical Corps has been coordinating with local health groups to deliver relief supplies, such as hygiene and first-aid kits, to communities affected by the fires. The group is prepared to provide additional support and services to health facilities if needed. Help them HERE.

     OVERALL ASSISTANCE

The League of California Community Foundations is a coalition of the state’s nonprofits. It’s coordinating relief  for people affected by the fires. In the past, these funds have helped rebuild homes, restore lost belongings and provide support services such as mental health management. Help them HERE.
