Dogs make no sense

The boys were sacked out in the same room the other day. We’re so careful to size their beds to their particular needs.

Riley has a small one and Little He has a bigger one.  But here’s what happened:

Riley is in Little He’s bed.

Because Little He was sleeping in Riley’s bed.

How comfortable could LH be?

  1. That is hysterical! Our cats have pretty much taken over the dog beds (which are big, because we have two big and one medium size dogs) and now the dogs sleep on the couch. Go figure.

Dogs are just plain odd. Our old sheltie, Mitzvah, utterly refused to sleep on any of the beds we chose for her. Nice, soft, comfy dog beds. No, she chose the hardwood floor. When she died, we got another sheltie, Maydeleh. Dog bed? No, thanks, I’ll sleep on the floor.

    Weirdos.

Yep. That’s dogs. Gotta love ’em!

We have just one dog…brought home from the shelter several months ago, along with a new cat. The dog is pretty small, but she will curl up into such a tiny ball in order to fit where she wants to fit! I have taken to keeping laundry baskets on the couch to keep her off at night {she does have her own bed!} and I will come in in the morning and she will be wrapped around the basket on the smallest section not covered. Silly dogs :).
The cat RULES her though :). Poor dog will not pass up the stairs if the cat is sitting there. Too funny! What a gorgeous shepherd that is!

He’s a mix, and he is 16 years old. Sweet as can be! It’s funny how they’ll find a place even when you don’t want them to find it… 😉

  5. It’s all about “feel”. I guess.

We have two 20 pounders who each have beds meant for 40 pounders. One is at the foot of our bed, where one dog prefers to sleep ad the other is in my office where the other chooses to sleep. In the middle of the night you can often find one on the couch and one sprawled across the bedroom floor and both beds empty.
    It’s just a dog’s life. Let it be. 🙂

Awww, so cute. Our dog and cat eschew their beds for ours. Good thing we have a king size.

Even better is when the cats take over the dog’s bed and the dog gets the floor while MZ Feline Thaaaaang flaunts it. Great pics that got me to guffaw big time!

  9. Love it. Our 70+ pound terrier still wants to sleep in her puppy bed. She curls up in it and sleeps soundly. It’s funny to see. She loves her new bed, but still crawls into the old bed.

This made me laugh out loud. I just shared it with my hubby. As our dog is laying sprawled across my legs fast asleep.Thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things Blog Hop . Big Hugs

  11. Too funny! Mine do the same thing!
