Tired of my struggle with writer’s block, I reached out for support to two talented,
experienced writers and got great input from both.
Input that’s helping me revitalize my approach to this piece.

My local writers’ group is doing a free-writing exercise this month.
Mine flowed easily and I think was pretty good.
Certainly better than the essay I’ve been working on.

And I wrote a narrative poem.
I hardly ever write poetry and when I do, it’s usually narrative
and comes from something way deep inside.
I don’t know if this one’s any good or not, but I really like it.

It’s called Fuck the Universe.

I didn’t think getting stuck in my writing would reap such great rewards.
