Sea World displays fireworks in the summer, but they are a bit further north, at the Bay. Those look like they were in the Harbor, so it may have been for the Summer Pops… the SD Symphony plays at the Embarcadero just across from the Convention Center… maybe you noticed them Friday night, from the Terrace party?
I think it was for the Pops–I saw them both Fri and Sat nights, really fun. I just love this entire community and am kind of surprised at how much, being such a NorCal snob and all. 😉
