Lambs, sheep, dogs, puppies, cows—another day in the countryside

June 16, 2010

We had a far more elaborate sheepdog demonstration today, along with sheepshearing.

The dogs were fantastic and even an 8-week old puppy was trying to get in the act. Cute as hell. This is one of the puppies confronting a cow. Shortly after I took this shot, four of the puppies chased the cow off. It was hysterical.

AND I got to feed baby lambs milk from a bottle. It was the best part of the day.

I’ve got some great video of all this and when I get home I will try to load them here. I just can’t get them to load from any of my hotels.

This is our very last night in Inverness and we had a big Scottish party tonight. More on that later, I have to pack up for the morning trip to EDINBURGH! Three nights there and then we’re home. I feel like I’ve been gone for a month.
