Everywhere we turn these days, it seems the world is moving faster, shouting louder, and forgetting the quiet power of something so fundamental, so essential to our very nature: love.
Not the romantic kind we see in movies. Not the filtered version on social media. But the soul-deep, heart-wide lovethat sees the light in another person—no matter who they are or where they come from.
We don’t need to look far to see suffering, division, and fear. And yet, what if the medicine isn’t more control, more judgment, or more noise—but instead, more love?
Because love is not weakness. Love is presence. It is the energy that holds everything together—from the trees that stretch toward the sun to the quiet comfort we offer a grieving friend. Love reminds us of our shared humanity. It connects us in ways logic never could.
From a spiritual perspective, love is our original language. Before the world told us who to be, how to succeed, or whom to fear, we came into this life already knowing how to love. Babies don’t discriminate—they reach for connection, for closeness, for warmth. That impulse? That’s love in its purest form.
In my own spiritual practice, I’ve learned that love isn’t just an emotion. It’s a frequency. A vibration we can choose to embody. When we slow down, get quiet, and return to that sacred inner place—the one untouched by ego or fear—we remember: we are love.
The more we live from this space, the more we contribute to collective healing. A kind word. A hand on someone’s back. A silent prayer of peace for a stranger. These aren’t small acts—they are sacred offerings. They ripple outward in ways we’ll never fully see.
So yes, the world needs more love. But maybe the real invitation is this:
Be the love.
In your home. In your conversations. In your community.
Even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard. Put a little love in your heart.
Because the energy we bring into the world matters.
And when we choose love—again and again—we become a lighthouse for others trying to find their way home.
What the world needs now is love, sweet love….it’s the only thing that there’s just too little of…..a song in my mind always. And your post underlines that need. I try to be kind and open to people in stores, all my neighbors…and those in service: doctors, the dentist, nurses ete. It is so easy to be kind and harder to be difficult.
In a strange way, the hatred in some sectors is bringing out the love in others. Most of us are more concerned than ever in showing kindness and compassion. Let’s hope the saying is true: love wins.

I know you do, it is inherent in you.

It may well be doing that but it is so hard to encounter.
You are definitely one of those lighthouses, Carol!
Thank you for being you!
I am pretty imperfect in that regard…I hate to see hatred.
