Morning in San Jose

October 10, 2009

I know.

You wonder why this excites me.

You could only appreciate this if the calendar says it is fall, but it’s still 92 degrees and so humid.

If you were me, still working out my sentence in Florida. Where our heat index is 105 degrees.

I want to go home.

Last night we spoke with a property manager in SJ who was much more encouraging about our prospects for renting a high-end home.

She said it wouldn’t be easy. But it isn’t impossible.

I also posted a query on craigslist.com yesterday. I got two responses from owners of gorgeous townhomes. Who would rent to us with all our dogs. The townhouses don’t have yards, so they don’t work for us. But they were properties we’d like and was a positive sign that perhaps we can find a rental.

That encouragement was enough for us to book a trip the first weekend in November. To try to land something.

Mornings in the south San Francisco Bay area are within our grasp.
