Polka dots

September 10, 2009

I love patterns like this.

We are looking ahead to having to furnish our new home. M. left everything behind or sold it. I left a lot behind at local charities on the Monterey peninsula. I have some nice pieces still, but we are going to need some others and to tie it all together.

I love design and color, and am enjoying looking at various options online and otherwise. It took me years to realize that I have a good sense of design. Or maybe it just took years for me to develop it.

I still can’t understand an architectural drawing, but I CAN visualize how colors and design work together in a rom.

Ironically, M. is color blind. He can see reds, oranges and some yellows, but that’s it. Good thing I like brighter colors. In Tampa, deep purple is my main color but I also have some red and orange that he can see.

I love the colors and patterns in these dots. They would make a great accent. Maybe sheets or a duvet cover. Maybe throw pillows. Or even a small chair.

Or upholstered seats to a DR chair. Too bad I already have great DR chairs that are wickerish.
