Satire before some of you were born

I’ll have lots to say later, but for now, how about a flash from the past?

Before there was SNL and really, setting the stage for clever, satirical humor, there was Tom Lehrer. If you haven’t heard of him before, now you have.

Back in the 1950s and 1960s, this singer-songwriter, pianist, satirist and mathematician (no lie) recorded biting songs like these.

    We were just talking about (and sing-quoting) Tom Lehrer a few weeks ago – he’s still hilarious. Thanks for the vidie clips…
