Slán a fhágáil – farewell

June 12, 2010

In Ireland there are no strangers,
only friends you haven’t met before.

We bid farewell to Ireland in the morning with many wonderful memories. Chief among them are:

watching the peaceful mares and their foals, a reminder that nature goes on in its own way and time, regardless of the petty stresses of our all too human lives;

the exciting urban vibe of Dublin and our plans to return one day soon;

the surprise of a small hawk’s silent swoop down and on to my wrist;

the beauty of Dromoland castle;

and so much more.

On to Scotland in the morning.
