You say goodbye and I say hello.

Ahem.

Well.

It’s not as straightforward as it seems.

In fact it’s downright confusing.

Have you looked at your hands lately? Don’t look too closely. It might scare you.

I have my mother’s hands now.

And yet aging also brings with it a confidence missing in our youth.

A certain…perspective.

The ability to laugh at ourselves. Long and heartily.

So yeah, there goes my youth. I held on to it a long time. I loved it. And I’m sad to see it go.

But I’m glad to welcome confidence and wisdom.
