Re-entry

September 29, 2009

Our trip is coming to a close. No more gorgeous, color-washed photos taken in the incredible morning light. No more eat-your-heart-out descriptions of food. And experiences.

We don’t really want to leave. And yet, we are excited to return to our pets and our life. To prepare for our move.

The trip’s always a bitch and more so this time. Tomorrow we drive to Genoa. Thursday we fly from Genoa to Rome. Rome to Miami. Overnight in a hotel. Miami to Tampa on FRIDAY.

I can’t wait to hug my little man, Riley, on Friday. And also his consort, the Princess Puddin’. She’s very huggable.

Tinker, Little He and Gigi the kitty are staying at the resort an extra night. Our dog trainer arrives around 10am on Saturday and this time we will integrate the pack with her guidance. Starting all over. (Puddin’ and Riley are already bonded. No problem there.) Saturday will be a big day.

Our life in Florida beckons: M’s law practice, my teaching.

As much as we hate to leave, it’s time to start the process of re-entry.
