The Value of Distance

June 20, 2009

When you get far enough away from something, it completely changes your perspective.

It provides clarity. You see things that are not obvious when you’re right up on it.

Maybe it’s stuff you just don’t want to see. Or maybe it’s stuff you should have seen but didn’t. Or should have valued more.

Distance can provide perspective.

It doesn’t always.

But when it does, it can be a beautiful thing.
